Delete your HOMhq account
HOMhq accounts belong to agents, brokers, and staff affiliated with the brokerage, and they are tied to brokerage business records. Deletion is handled as a request rather than a self-service button so that we can confirm your identity and separate the records we are allowed to erase from the ones we are legally required to keep.
How to request deletion
- Email support@homhq.com from the email address on your HOMhq account, with the subject “Account deletion request”.
- Include your full name and the email address you sign in with.
- We will confirm receipt and verify that you are the account holder. If we cannot verify the request from the account email, we may ask for additional confirmation.
We aim to acknowledge requests within 5 business days and to complete them within 30 days. If your account is tied to open transactions or unpaid commissions, we will tell you what has to close out first.
What is deleted
If you never completed onboarding and have no transaction or payment history, your account is deleted outright: your sign-in credentials, your profile, your tax identifiers, your onboarding submissions, and your signed onboarding documents.
For every account, deletion removes:
- Your sign-in credentials, so you can no longer access HOMhq.
- Your profile contact details — phone number, mailing address, personal email, and date of birth.
- Your stored tax identifiers (SSN or EIN), once the tax years they relate to are closed.
- Push notification subscriptions and mobile device tokens, and your in-app notification history.
- Profile photos and any documents not attached to a completed transaction.
Assistant and connected mailboxes
If you use the optional Assistant, account deactivation disables its mailbox connections and clears the stored connection credentials. Turning Assistant off or disconnecting a mailbox is separate from requesting account deletion and does not erase your mail provider's messages. You can delete chat content in Assistant History while your account is accessible, or include Assistant content in your deletion request to support.
Approved Assistant action content and send receipts remain part of the audit record, including approved actions that were later canceled, failed, or had an unknown delivery outcome. Saved transaction documents and shared human file conversations follow the applicable business-record retention rules. See the Assistant privacy section for content retention and mailbox controls.
What is retained, and why
If you have participated in a transaction, we cannot delete everything. Real estate brokerages are required to keep transaction and financial records, and those records identify the agents involved. After a deletion request we retain:
- Transaction records — the properties, dates, parties, and your role in each closing.
- Commission and ledger records — commission splits, caps, credits, deductions, referrals, revenue-share activity, equity grants, and billing items, together with the payment records behind them.
- Tax and accounting records, including amounts paid to you and the forms issued.
- Signed agreements, such as your independent contractor agreement and any addenda.
- Audit and security logs recording changes made to brokerage records.
These are retained because real estate licensing law, tax law, and our accounting and audit obligations require it, and because they are also the records of the other parties to those transactions. They are kept for the period those laws require and are then disposed of. We do not use retained records to contact you or for marketing.
